
Determiners have their own importance in sentence formation. Different types of determiner with examples and their explanation is given below.
Each/Every:-
Each:-
(1) “Each” is used to mention the part or member of a group as individual. It signifies individuality.
(2) “Each” is used in case of a countable noun only.
(3) “Each” can be followed by “of” , “of the” in a sentence.
(4) If the sentence is about two dissimilar things, then “each” is used.
Every:-
(1) “Every” is way of saying a group as a group. “Every” is the idea of a group.
(2) “Every” is used in a countable noun only.
(3) “Every” is used to say how often something happens.
(4) “Every” is used in case of similar action or things.
* In various cases “each” and “every” is used interchangeably.
Much/Many:-
Much:-
“Much” is used to describe singular uncountable noun.
Many:-
“Many” is used in case of countable noun and the noun must be in the plural form.
Some/Any:-
Some:-
(1) “Some” is generally used in positive sentence.
(2) “Some” is used in both countable and uncountable noun with plural form
(3) Generally, “some” is used in positive sentence but if the subject “offer somthing” , “ask something” and “suggest something” using interrogative sentences, then “some” is used.
Any:-
(1) “Any” is used in interrogative sentences, negative sentences and sentence with negative sense or meaning.
(2) “Any” also used in both countable noun and uncountable noun with plural form.
(3) If a sentence is not negative but it negative sense in it, then “any” is used.
(4) If a sentence contains hardly, without, never and these types of words then “any” is used.
Few/A few/The few:-
Few:-
(1) “Few” is used in countble noun.
(2) “Few” indicates extremely small number of something or almost nothing.
(3) “Few” has negative sense or meaning about something.
A few:-
(1) “A few” is also used in countble noun.
(2) “A few” indicates small number or amount of something the subject has.
(3) “A few” is used in a positive way or it has positive meaning about something mentioned in the sentence.
The few:-
(1) “The few” is used or it is about all of those or whole the things which is mentioned in a sentence.
(2) “The few” is also used in case of countble noun.
Little/A little/The little:-
Little:-
(1) “Little” is used in uncountable noun.
(2) “Little” indicates extremely small amount of something or almost nothing.
A little:-
(1) “A little” is used in uncountable noun.
(2) “A little” is used in positive sense about something mentioned in a sentence.
(3) “A little” is about small amount of something.
The little:-
(1) If a sentence mention something as whole or it’s about all of the things mentioned in a sentence, then “the little” is used.
(2) “The little” used in uncountable noun.

(5) The bus Leaves every day in the morning.

(8) I get up at 6 o’clock every morning.
(9) I am wearing ear rings in each ear.
(10) My parents will come tomorrow, each of them will be on a different flight.
(11) We know each other very well.
(12) Every day there is much work to be done.
(13) We need each other.
(14) Every one opposed it, but finally he did that.
