Education and knowledge is the only way, with the help of which, a society can grow materially, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Today’s modern world is growing rapidly and very effectively, but still it has some drawback and which can be rectified. And rectification is very much needed in present scenario.Some points are given below.
Dependence on artificiality:-
It is seen that, various materials things has infected modern society and life processes with artificiality. Somehow artificial behavior and attitudes have also made the mentality of children sick. Overall development of a child is very much depends on emotional bonding among the same group of childs. No doubt, artificial things or material things can make a child advance in and field by providing adequate amount of knowledge. But gaining knowledge from human behaviour, motivation etc can influence a child internally and it will last long.
Lack of vision:-
Today’s children are the citizens of the future. But it is seen in the present scenario that today’s students are disoriented and cannot move their future in the right direction. They are sometimes helpless even after obtaining higher degrees in education.
Lack of human values and ethics:-
Education system should awaken the sense of human values, global humanity and ethics etc. The present society and civilization is moving forward very dynamically. The dynamic development has greatly improved the quality of our external life processes. On the other hand, the mechanical advances of civilization have brought artificiality to our life processes. The profound relationship between the universe, man and mankind is also very complex today. So-called scientific progress, political hypocrisy and social chaos have contributed significantly to the decline of human values.
Need of reform:-
In such a situation, the big question for us is what kind of future we will prepare our children for. It is very much desirable to apply one’s own manners, culture and traditions.Despite being at the top of science, technology, mathematics, etc.,we should carry forward its customs, culture and traditions, manners, ethics equally.Currently, children have no idea about real life and the world. Children develop their personalities with the same attitude as their family members.
Needed steps:-
Therefore, the attitude of all members of the family should be correct and scientific to shape the child’s personality on the basis of true human values, away from all kinds of artificiality. Otherwise, the child’s development process may be misdirected more. This education system should taught respect for elders, good manners ,a sense of sacrifice,strong patriotism etc Our future generations should be taught to end corruption, immorality etc.
In educational curriculum:-
Some concepts or factors should be included in the present education curriculum. Some if these are:- (1) A scientific curriculum that builds a sense of sacrifice. (2) A curriculum that instills strong patriotism. (3) A curriculum that teaches students about ethics , human values, politeness etc. (4) The Courses that instill confidence in self-esteem and self-reliance. (5) A course of parallel development of body, mind, intellect and spirit. (6) A curriculum of global humanity avoiding narrowness.
Role of spirituality and teacher (guru) in this respect :-
The teacher or Guru is the self-realized, intelligent being who is essential for the gradual development and upliftment of humanity. Human beings are in huge need of a good teacher or guru for the development of self-power and self-improvement, especially for the students. Life improves only when it receives influence from a good teacher or guru that stimulates the development of the soul. This is how our spiritual life begins and we eventually attain a full and holy life. This sacred spiritual power that can manifest the human soul cannot be attained by studying books alone. One soul can only acquire this power by receiving the inspiration of another soul. Even if we study the books all our lives and gain intellectual knowledge, in time we realize that we have not developed spiritually. The intellectual development of the upper classes is not the same as the spiritual development.
In fact, the higher development of intelligence is based on spiritual power. Book study helps us a lot in intellectual development. On the other hand, biblical knowledge is not helpful in the development of the soul. “Having acquired biblical knowledge, we are sometimes confused that it has also contributed to our spiritual development. But when we analyze ourselves deeply in the cycle of life, we realize that we have developed our intellect through book knowledge, not our soul. Therefore, while it is possible for humans to give strange spiritual explanations, it is impossible to implement such strange spiritual explanations in practice. Because the external being in the form of the teacher or guru illuminates our field of self-advancement, the development of one soul requires the motivating force of another soul. Therefore, the most sacred source from which the holy power to inspire the soul can be obtained is the Guru or Acharya.
The human soul in whom this energy is transmitted and he is called a disciple or student. In the case of the transmission of this energy, it is essential that the soul from which this energy is transmitted must have the ability to transmit that energy. Accordingly, it is equally essential that the disciple who receives the energy in the form of the righteous vessel has the mindset and ability to receive, master and hold the transmitted energy. Thus, the spiritual union of the ideal guru and the ideal disciple results in the creation of a timeless nectar and the entire human soul is able to cross the boat of life with blessed feelings. There are many stirring events that happen, timeless unique poetry and literature is created, the world of education is enlightened and the world gets the right direction. These qualities of purity, thirst for knowledge and patience are essential in the soul of the disciple. Spirituality can only be mastered by a pure, inquisitive and infinitely patient soul.
Accordingly, a teacher or guru often removes himself from the confines of external noise and realizes the meaning of life in true nature. For the trap of words is like a forest where the human soul is lost in search of the path of truth. For the various modes of wording, the various styles of beautiful and fluent language, the many forms of interpretations of the Scripture these are the objects of the enjoyment of the scholar; These have little chance of achieving spiritual excellence. In such a situation, there is a need for the Holy Spirit, a believer in God, a lover of mankind, a scribe and a devoted teacher enlightened by the light of wisdom illuminated by self-realization. The light and fragrance of this great guru-like flower infuses life into society. The human soul is blessed by the presence of such a good guru. Blessed are the students. Knowledge is a human right. The knowledge latent in the mind of the disciple is illuminated by the light of the Guru.
The presence of the teacher or guru introduces us to the sacred knowledge wrapped in the deepest corners of the human soul, which infuses knowledge into the dull, dull human soul. There is nothing equivalent to holy knowledge in this world. A good teacher does not teach for the purpose of gaining fame or glory. Rather, being possessed of a most pure and loving soul, the soul of the disciple is guided by the philosophy of the same soul and human love, and teaches purely and sincerely with a sense of altruism, and the disciple benefits. So teaching given with love is more effective and it is very much essential for students to learn these aspects of life.
In conclusion:-
Students with ethics, human values, global humanity etc can make the world peaceful, triggers material growth , emotional stability and make a person spiritually rich .
